Stephan Klee named CFO of Portage Ventures

TORONTO – Adam Felesky, President of Portag3 Ventures (“Portag3”), is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephan Klee as Chief Financial Officer.

Klee has 15 years of experience as a CFO and Chief of Staff at various companies in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Asia. He joins Portag3 after serving as CFO of Zenbanx Holding, Inc. and remaining in an Executive capacity after its merger with SoFi, Inc. one of the largest US fintech companies.

“We are thrilled to announce Stephan Klee’s hiring. His breadth of experience and in-depth knowledge of the FinTech space will be tremendous assets for Portag3 and its underlying portfolio,” said Felesky. “We are now in a position to leverage and seek synergies amongst our investments and Stephan will be a key player in exploring these opportunities.”

Previously, Klee served as a Senior VP at Bank of Nova Scotia, at ING Direct Canada, where he was CFO & Treasurer from 2011 to 2014, and at ING Direct USA, where he served as Chief of Staff from 2002 to 2011. He began his career at Deutsche Bank in Germany. Klee attended the University of Applied Sciences in Germany before earning an MBA at the Ivey Business School at Western University. He is also an AMP graduate from Harvard Business School.
