Karan Mathur is a Principal at Sagard and joined the firm in 2021. As a member of Sagard Healthcare Partners, Karan invests in approved and commercialized biopharmaceuticals, diagnostics, and medical devices that are protected by strong intellectual property. He is responsible for all aspects of the investment process, including origination, due diligence, execution, and portfolio management. Karan has over 11 years of experience in healthcare across strategy consulting, capital markets and investing. He is based in Toronto, Canada.
Prior to Sagard, Karan was a Vice-President in Global Investment Banking at RBC Capital Markets, where he led a variety of transactions across equity markets, M&A, and credit financings for a diversified client base.
Karan holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.Sc. from the University of Toronto (Honours).
